With the competition getting intense, Malaysia’s Siti Safiyah Amirah drop one rung from her overnight position to ninth after the second block of eight games on last night in 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup.

Nevertheless, this morning in the final block of eight, Siti started on a bright note with 232, but has started to encounter problems as she only bowled 176 in the second game and 197 in her third to be further slide down to 12th spot.

Last night Siti said she made a few mistakes and could not find a good line.

However, Siti looks like she is back on trail and the Malaysia camp is confident that she will not drop below ten to be among the 24 after this block to qualify for the next round.

England’s Zara Giles the overnight leader continued to dominate this morning and after three games she was still in the lead.

But after three games this morning, the battle among the overnight second placed Russia’s Evgenia, Canada’s Caroline Lagrange (currently third) and Korea’s Baek Seung-ja (fourth), Philippines Lisa del Rosario (fifth) and Australia’s Ann-Maree Putney (sixth) is keen with them changes positions after very game.

USA’s Tennelle Miligian is also moving up fast and is currently in seventh spot, while Philippines Lisa del Rosario (fifth) and Australia’s Ann-Maree Putney (sixth) look settled and consistent to keep to keep their position.

This final block is expected to finish at 2pm, before the men take to the lanes for their final block.

It is going to be a long night today, as the second round of eight games before the top eight qualify for the knockout stages tomorrow, will be bowled tonight starting at eight.

However, both the men and women will bowl simultaneously and the top eight is expected to be determined before midnight.
